Refunds and cancellations
How deposits, cancellations, and refunds work for audit and walkthrough engagements.
Scope
These terms apply to paid professional engagements with Online Reason — full application audits, matching rule reviews, exception queue assessments, and control walkthroughs. This site does not sell physical goods or software licenses.
Eligibility
Refunds are considered when:
- Online Reason cancels an engagement for reasons other than client breach, or
- You cancel in writing within the windows below, or
- Deliverables materially fail to match the signed scope after a good-faith cure period
Timeframes
- Before kickoff (more than 10 business days’ notice): deposit refunded minus a ₩150,000 scheduling fee
- Within 10 business days of kickoff: 50% of the deposit may be retained for reserved reviewer time
- After kickoff / work started: fees for completed stages are due; unused future stages may be refunded proportionally if we agree to stop
Full or partial refunds
Full refunds of amounts paid (less non-recoverable third-party costs, if any were pre-approved) apply when we cancel without a suitable reschedule. Partial refunds apply when part of the scope is delivered — for example, configuration read completed but sampling cancelled at your request.
Non-refundable items
- Scheduling fee when cancellation is late (as above)
- Facilitated walkthrough days already delivered
- Custom data extracts purchased from third parties at your written request
- Work product already formally delivered and accepted
Process
Email hello@onlinereason.digital with the engagement reference, reason for the request, and preferred resolution. We confirm receipt within three business days and state the proposed refund calculation.
Processing time and method
Approved refunds are returned within 15 business days to the original payer via the same method used for payment where possible (bank transfer is typical).
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may request one reschedule without penalty if notice is given at least 10 business days before kickoff. Further reschedules may require a new deposit. We may reschedule if required access is not provided after reasonable reminders.
Deposits and no-shows
The 40% deposit holds the audit window. Failure to attend agreed workshops without notice may forfeit the deposit for that stage. Remaining balance invoices still reflect work performed.
Work already started
Once configuration review or sampling has begun, completed stages are billable. Draft notes remain our working papers until the final pack is issued under the engagement letter.
Exceptions
Mandatory consumer rights under Korean law, where applicable, take precedence over this page. Engagement letters may state additional commercial terms for multi-entity audits; if they conflict with this page, the signed letter controls for that engagement.
